We were hoping to shoot outside today, but 36 degrees in the midwest was not going to work for a two year old session. So we moved the operation into the studio. Which, doesn’t seem like a huge deal, but when you are dealing with a fixed light source and a busy toddler things can get crazy really fast. It took Madi all of two minutes to realize that the backdrop was not a real wall.
And girl was a ball of energy, which is pretty amazing considering her momma had to wake her from her nap to come in for her session. Any one who has kids knows that you never, under any circumstance wake a sleeping baby. However, she was as happy as can be…really silly and so sweet. I totally hit the jackpot on this kiddo.
I managed to get some real smiles in between the super goofy ones with her tongue out. And I love, love this polka dot backdrop…wish more clients would choose it (hint, hint!)

And if you are ever wondering how great your singing voice is, just suddenly start singing Jingle Bells to a two year old and if they look at you like this you should probably stop.
I feel like her smile says, “Good job. I like this song. I appreciate the effort.” However, I feel like her eyes are pleading with me to please just wrap it up.

Thank you so much Katie for bringing in your baby girl! She seriously was one of the most well behaved kiddos I have shot in studio and hope to see you both again this summer.
Hopefully outdoors and I promise not to sing.
