Kansas City Newborn Photographer | Centerpoint Hospital Project
Last year I was honored to be asked by one of the amazing Centerpoint Hospital labor and delivery nurses to participate in the art project she was heading up. They had made the decision to swap out the generic framed paintings to canvases of newborn babes. I was chosen as one of three artists (at the time) to submit artwork to the project.
I spent hours going through all of my previous work and created a gallery that I felt best represented our studio. I sent that gallery in and the board chose the images they wanted featured. I am pretty sure I sent about one hundred choices (I have real problems narrowing things down). And I believe between 25-30 images (I shared some of them below) were chosen. Those images were printed on canvas and now hang along the walls in labor and delivery.
I love knowing my work is hanging in the hospital in my home town. I have had many people tell me that they have seen my babies when they were there visiting or delivering their own new little one. It makes my heart happy to share my work in that way.
Thank you to Hailee and the entire staff who included me in such a fun and uplifting local project. It was truly a pleasure participating and being allowed to share a little bit of my world with the people of my hometown.
