Newborn Photos Kansas City | Woodland Boy

Newborn Photos Kansas City | Woodland Boy

Introducing Evan! He is the second son of returning clients.  I am always so happy to see a family with a new addition.  I photographed big brother just two years ago.

Cameron was a chunker and had these amazing cheeks that are currently displayed on canvas on the labor and delivery floor of Centerpoint. He is the fourth image down in blue.

Evan couldn’t have been more of the opposite of Cam.  Weighing in under 7lbs he seemed like such a tiny little peanut!

I send a questionnaire out to my clients before we shoot our session and one of the questions included is birth weight.  It is so helpful to know how much baby weighs before they show up on the shoot date. I often dress my babies in little pants, overalls, and rompers.  I have posed a lot of babies and I have a pretty good idea of who is going to be swimming in an outfit and who is going to be busting at the seams!  Even some hats suit a smaller baby better than a baby weighing 9lbs.

I take a lot of care in preparing my sessions.  My prop supply is abundant so I almost always have many options regardless of the size of your little one.  Additionally, I am very dedicated to detail so even if something doesn’t fit just right I will take the time and effort into making sure no one knows but me.

It is always so rewarding to shoot multiple newborn sessions for a single-family.  I almost always look back at the older siblings images before the session day just to refresh my memory of what we did and the props/accessories we used.  Plus it is fun for me to compare their sweet little faces as well.

Thank you Shannon and Tony for trusting me again with your memories and your sweet baby boy!
