Newborn Photography Kansas City | Baby Girl Brights
Introducing Olivia! She was a perfect model for me. Sleepy and squishy and so agreeable. I had been having a rough week when I saw her for her session and had been hoping for an easy baby. She was such a blessing to me because she couldn’t have been more easy going. Sometimes you just need a simple day with no stress to really turn your week around. Olivia absolutely did that for me.
I was excited to use some bright colors during our shoot. Right now cream, blush, pink and gold are my most requested colors for little girls. It’s not very often I get to use bright pink, teal or burgundy. I was able to pull several things out I had been wanting to use as well as ordering a couple custom bright designs from Birdie Baby Boutique. BBB is our go to for headbands and crowns for baby girls. She can do absolutely anything. If you can’t find it in her shop she can make it happen for you. Seriously, check it out and send her a message today!
Besides the fun color palette, Olivia’s momma requested a shot of her in her parent’s hands. I had often considered shooting one of these type shots, as several of my photography friends have done them and I loved them. But I just hadn’t gotten around to trying it. We shot two variations and I ended up loving them both so much! Really simple and beautiful images. I felt like they were screaming for a black and white conversion, but included the color version of them in Olivia’s gallery as well. Ashley, thank you so much for the push to do something different!
Thank you Ashley and Chris for sharing your beautiful girl with me. I would love to see you all again in the future!
