I met Olivia for the first time and we hit it off right off the bat. We chatted while her momma got her dressed and ready to go for our first set up. And I fell in love with her beautiful blue eyes. Her momma said she gets them from her daddy, not from her. She is actually on team green…like me 🙂

We had emailed back and forth trying to pick the perfect backdrops for the session…one to especially set off her eyes. While the first set up it’s self isn’t blue, the brown is a nice complimentary color and the dress does all the work of making those eyes pop. I also loved the lacy headband and considered stealing it for my own stash. Olivia’s momma had a spare and actually offered to give it to me. Totally sweet, but I know how those things disappear once little ones start walking so I thought it better for her to keep it just in case. I have the sweetest clients…they would give me the headband off their head!

Olivia was up for anything and in a great mood. We sang a little Hokey Pokey, which happens to be her jam and one of my favorites as well. And that got us right through three outfit changes and backdrop swaps. I like to work fast so little ones don’t lose interest so I did my best to keep a quick pace.

When we were done with the outfits from home I wanted to try a moodier shot with just the wood wall and floor. I ended up loving it. And Olivia loved being naked so she was a happy happy girl for these shots. I am thinking I will add these in to all my sitting sessions from now on. It’s so cute and maybe one of the last times you can really get an adorable shot like this.
