Sadly Bernie’s first year with me has come to an end. And I am so bummed about it because this little girl is so much fun!

She is already walking, so that made things a teeny bit harder for the grown ups in the room. It is definitely challenging to keep a curious toddler in front of a fixed light source. It took her all of 60 seconds to realize the backdrop was not a real wall! And to keep her interested in any of the props…um, yeah. Like next to impossible. Luckily though, I had Mom and Dad there completely willing to be all kinds of crazy to make this all happen.

And then we had the cake. And this girl loved her cake. I really wish we would have had some video footage to share because she went crazy. I am not sure if she was literally trying to smash it, hug it or pick it up to throw it but things got messy toward the end for sure. I think the next cake smash I have I will suggest Mom and Dad record it on their phones. They really are fun memorable sessions. Seriously, book one today. If you are on the fence just check out Bernie’s face…so much fun! Plus I clean up the mess 🙂
