Having your newborn photographed is a some what of a new trend. When our kids were born (in the days of film or very newly developed digital cameras), newborn photography hardly existed. It was more like pull out your camera, setup a holiday themed backdrop and lay your baby in a Boppy. Please don’t think that Anna and I are super old, cause we still feel like we’re pretty young. I’m just trying to point out that our kids aren’t that old and man things have changed.

The days of newborn photography have evolved immensely. Now, you have to think about booking your newborn session while baby is still growing away in your belly. We not only book your session months before your due date, we plan your session months in advance.

We keep our prop room stocked, I mean stocked, with the most current newborn prop trends. Our lighting is just right, every time. No worrying about the right lighting coming through a window.Our studio has taken the time to learn about proper newborn posing. Posing that is safe for your baby. Posing that will be just right. Fingers laying perfectly and toes just peeking out the wrap. We know what works and what doesn’t. We know when a baby needs to eat, or the shots just won’t happen. How to have the temperature in the room set. What sounds work best to soothe baby. What works best for our posing flow. How to pose mama so she looks beautiful even though she feels exhausted.

A Word for Macy’s Mama

I am so happy with the images I received from Macy’s newborn shoot! There is not a single photo that I disliked. Anna was able to get my very stubborn 2 year old to smile for pictures and that is a huge task! Anna really listened to what I was envisioning and had everything ready to go upon arrival. The parent lounge was very accommodating and comfortable to relax in during the shoot. Anna Marie Photography is the best of the best and did not disappoint!
