So this changes after every session, but I think my favorite kind of session (as of this second) and of course after my newborns has to be the sitter session. I shoot this session at 8 months as part of my Baby Love plan. I like 8 months as opposed to the traditional 6 month session because almost all babies can sit unassisted (or with a spotter) for this session. Sometimes at 6 months they are not quite strong enough yet or tip over rather easily, making use of the cute sitter props harder to incorporate.

Now, Emery was practically sitting up alone (seriously, just a little help) at his 4 month session. So I knew he was gonna be ready for anything at his 8 month. Well, almost anything. We got off on the wrong foot because without thinking I straightened his overalls. This might seem harmless, but he doesn’t know me at all and here I am in his space pulling on his pants. I made this sweet baby cry 🙁

So, I am officially vowing to Emery to never again touch his pants without explicit permission!

Luckily, he quickly forgave me and we were able to get tons of smiles and not a single sad face. Mostly due to his momma who plays a mean game of peek a boo. I think she jumped out from behind my soft box a minimum of 103 times during the one hour we were together. And mommy acting crazy never gets old.

I am already looking forward to our next session. First of all because this kid only gets cuter as time moves on. And secondly because I heart this family. See you in June baby E!
