Infant Portraits Kansas City | August

I had the opportunity to photograph handsome August. He was a perfect little sleeper and so easy to work with. I was excited to see his family again, I hadn’t seen them since big sister, Minnie was a baby. We had worked together when I was still in my home studio, a small room off the entryway of my house. I photographed hundreds of babies there, you would never have known it was so…let’s just say cozy. This time when they visited me with their new son we shot in my Blue Springs studio.

I would still call our space cozy, but so much more functional. We have multiple shooting areas, a prop room, and a parent room. The parent room is probably the greatest addition for my newborn clients. It is much more relaxing with room to stretch out, watch Netflix, catch up on work, have some snacks, or take a little nap. All just a few feet away from the shooting area so you can easily pop in and take a peek at your little one at any time. It is the perfect mix of accessibility and relaxation for those new parents who could use a minute to rest.

I am so happy that I took the leap five years ago to invest in my business and myself. This space has made all the difference for me and for our client experience.

I hope to capture so many more newborn sessions in our studio as our client family continues to grow in the coming years.
