So I don’t often have the chance to shoot a lot of studio maternity sessions, but I am finding that I really do love it. I offer maternity mini sessions as an add on option to all of my newborn bookings. They are priced like a mini, but the quality is the same of any other session you will shoot with me. These sessions really make me think outside of my box. I am so used to posing and centering everything around a newborn/baby/toddler/siblings that it can be challenging for me to get out of that frame of mind. I have to admit I couldn’t keep myself from using my usual directive words like, get “snugly” and be a little more “cozy” and let’s be “huggy” for this one. I will try to upgrade the vocabulary to an adult level in the future, but I am not promising anything. Actually, I really like the word snugly so it’s staying. So all of my future maternity clients get yourselves in front of the mirror and practice your most snugly poses 😉

This beautiful momma to be is one of my January clients. She isn’t due until the very end of the month so I am expecting to meet baby girl in February (yay)! We had such a great session using this wine colored gown. I felt like it made for a nice wintery feel. Especially with her dark hair and perfect skin. She is pretty much gorgeous. I can only imagine how beautiful her daughter will be. Can’t wait to see you both again very soon and photograph your new little love!
