Kansas City Family Photos | Mommy and Me Mini Sessions

I recently had the opportunity to shoot an afternoon of mini sessions at the adorable Vintage House in Overland Park. I had never been there for an event, but had come across their Facebook page and decided to flip through the photos. When I did I immediately decided that I would shoot there at sometime in 2015.

When it came time to book my yearly Mommy and Me minis I thought it was the perfect time to try it out. It is tucked into a quiet neighborhood, we barely saw a handful of cars that day. It had convenient next door parking lot for my clients. And the house itself was decorated so beautifully. No detail left undone. The outdoor patio area and porch where perfect as well….that’s where we shot most of the day. We are also, thankfully, blessed with a gorgeous day (with no rain!). Bonus that the owner was as sweet as can be and made us feel completely at home. If you are hosting a party, shower or your own photo session this would be the perfect place regardless of the time of year. I would love to go back.

In addition to the perfect location we also had the perfect people to photograph. All were returning clients, which is a great situation for me. I already knew everyone,the kids have met me and worked with me before. Makes it a bit easier to dive right into a 20 minute session when you really don’t need introductions!

I couldn’t have hoped for a better time mommies. Thank you so much for coming out and spending a Sunday afternoon we with us. And a huge thank you to the Vintage House for allowing us to use the beautiful space!
