Kansas City Baby Photography | Blue Eyed Twins
Samantha and her brother Ben came to see me for their five month session. And we had a great time, lots of smiles and only a few tears. From the babies…not me! I also have a boy/girl set of twins so it was fun for me to capture this special time for their parents. I don’t believe I have a really great photo of my own babies together until the one year marker. We managed to get quite a few! So that alone felt like a huge win for me. It helped that they were so happy and didn’t mind being moved around and all the set up changes. Very easy going and sweet babies.
Ben was a little wary of me at first, which was a surprise as Mom says he is usually the most laid back of the two. She had anticipated that Samantha would have some stranger danger and might need some time to warm up to me. Total opposite! She was full of smiles and giggles. Talking non stop and really working the camera. The gallery is full of shots of her on the pink rug because I just couldn’t bring myself to throw out one of her smiles. It made me feel guilty, they were so sweet!
It is definitely more work squeezing two session’s worth of images into one session, but I like a challenge. Sam and Ben could have made it so much tougher on me, so I am very grateful they have such pleasant little personalities. Sessions like this make my work so much and and so rewarding for me as a photographer and a mom. I couldn’t be happier at work than when I can make a baby (ies) smile and capture that moment for their parent’s forever!
