I met Lane when he was just a teeny tiny little guy at about a month old and weighing in at around 6 lbs. So it was great to see how much he has grown and how handsome he has become.

Some day in the future a girl is gonna fall in love with him solely because of those eyes. Probably about first grade.

I mention his eyes because of the obvious, but also because he stared right at me through the entire first set up. And when I say staring I mean, only staring. Did he blink? Maybe a couple of times. Can’t be sure though. And I was working hard. I peek a booed like I never had before. Nothing. I mean maybe a little smirk. Mostly just to humor me.

Then he coughed, so I coughed.

A little smile. Okay, great. So I sneezed. Nothing. Coughed again. Nothing.

Then the light bulb…I made a horrible puking noise….

And. He. Loved. It.

I’m no fool, so for the next 20 minutes I did nothing but pretend to burp and puke. He was cracking up. Head thrown back, laughing out loud kind of crack up.

I felt pretty good about the show I put on. I am basically a baby comedic genius. I am considering going on tour.

I love that baby stand up is part of my everyday life. I am the luckiest girl in the whole wide world. I can’t imagine a better day at work.
