Lee’s Summit Photography Newborns | Handsome Luke

I had a great time working with tiny little Luke and his family. He came in very sleepy and ready to work. We knocked out a round of shots and I was sure he was gonna be my sleepiest baby of the week…yeah, he had something different in mind. He woke up. Like really woke up.

And you guys know that I like ’em sleepy, but you roll with it when it comes to newborns. I shot what I could with Luke all bright eyed. Literally, really. His eyes just sparkled and his eye contact was pretty amazing. He had this look about him that made you feel like he might just whisper a little secret to you.

His momma doesn’t love the wrapped shots so I really needed to get this guy back to sleep. Usually, when a baby is wide awake we can improvise and do several wrapped set ups until they fall asleep again. I tried one but it was no match for Luke. He fought me every step of the way. However, if there is one thing I am, it’s patient (my husband might disagree). But really, in my sessions I am so patient. I can wait out any baby. They have to eventually fall back asleep…theoretically. Luckily, Luke did and we were able to finish up his session getting all the props his momma wanted plus some darling family shots.

I love the family image and was excited to have such a nice photo of all the boys together.

I don’t say this about boys often…but they have pretty amazing hair, don’t you think? Like little models, these three.
