It seemed like a long time coming when I finally had the opportunity to meet Mandy. We kept scheduling, rescheduling and having trouble coordinating two very busy schedules. Because of that, I have to admit, I was worried she was gonna be like the world’s grumpiest client. Turns out, she is the total opposite. She is like the walking definition of happy. Girl is adorable. I said to her husband, “So, when people meet your wife are they like, ‘You have the most adorable wife ever'”. And he said, “Yep, they do. All the time. I love it”. So sweet. I can only hope my husband says stuff like that about me when I’m not listening 🙂

Mandy’s last maternity session was shot on the beach in Florida, where she lived when she had her first son. Fortunately (for me!) she moved recently and chose me to capture her maternity and newborn images this time around. We obviously don’t have the beach like last time, so we went for a wintery feel and shot outdoors in the midwest in February. Some years that might have been a crazy move. However this year we couldn’t have gotten better weather. The sunshine was just for us that day! A small reward for patiently waiting to shoot this session. And check out this girl’s wardrobe…again, ADORABLE! Please pick out all my clothes Mandy!

I love all the outdoor stuff (like, love love), but you have to check out those studio shots you guys. The images of Mandy and Ryan together couldn’t make me smile more. So much love in those shots. I can hardly stand it. They couldn’t have been more perfect. They have so much to give and I can’t wait to see them with that new little guy. It makes me happy when I really feel like I can capture a client’s true spirit in an image. I can only hope we have just as an amazing newborn session.
