Puppy Photography Kansas City | Darlene and Lucy are the Perfect Pair

Lucy is just an average puppy. She eats, sleeps, and plays. She chews on things she is not supposed to chew on. She knocks over her water dish and makes messes that need to be cleaned up. She does all the things that every puppy does. She has been living her puppy life, waiting to find a home.

Darlene is a grandma. She drinks coffee, works on puzzles, and watches her shows. She visits with friends and family and loves on her grandchildren. She lives in a little white house with a black roof. She does all the things that every grandma does. But lately, she has been doing them alone.

And that has been different for Darlene. She has always had Leland to drink coffee with, watch her shows with and talk about the events of the day. They would visit with family and friends and love their grandchildren. They lived in that little white house with the black roof together.

The days don’t feel quite the same anymore, as one season of life ushers out the last. That little white house with the black roof feels a little bit empty.

Then one day Lucy and Darlene met.

And it turns out Lucy is not just an ordinary puppy. She is a very special puppy, with an important job.

Her job is to live in that little white house with a black roof. She will follow Darlene to the kitchen each morning when she makes her coffee. She will sit in her lap when she watches her shows and works on her puzzles. She will be excited to greet Darlene’s family and friends when they come to visit. She will do all the things a dog does.

But her most important job of all is taking up a little space in that big hole in Darlene’s heart and filling it with love.
