I know when you look at a newborn session it appears to be simple. Lay baby down, put hat on baby’s head, push button on camera. And sometimes it really is like that….but not usually

. This session was a challenge because my baby didn’t want to sleep…and that’s were patience comes in.

I feel like I am probably more patient than just about anyone when it comes to my newborn sessions. I can wait that baby out! I will win! And in most cases I do 🙂 Annsley put up a good fight but in the end I got all of the shots I wanted…and her momma wanted too! So don’t let that sweet smile fool you…she was an independent little thing! And that sibling shot you see there…those can be the hardest of them all. Not only do you have to get a newborn to cooperate but usually a toddler as well. I wish I could tell you it was super hard and I was only able to capture it by sheer talent and skill. Nope. Her big sis sat down smiled her amazing smile I pushed the button and we were done.

This time it really was that easy!
