Infant Portraits Lee’s Summit | Vera came to the studio today
Vera was another recent superstar baby in the studio. She was one of the strings of good sleepyheads I had before heading out on vacation. We flew through our table poses and prop shots in record time. I think we wrapped that portion up in a little over an hour. Now, this was a Simple session, so we didn’t do any of our more complicated poses, like froggy or womb pose. However, we got a great variety of shots and her gallery was huge for a Simple. I have to be honest and say that I am a chronic over shooter. Even if I have plenty of shots, if your baby is sleepy I can hardly make myself stop. I will just keep shooting and shooting. Great for my clients but when I get to the editing that’s when it gets me, lol!
She did wake up right before family portraits. I think she may have had a little bout of gas because she was wide awake for quite a stretch and super wiggly. She wasn’t really fussy so we kept right on going. It just took a lot of patience to wait for her eyes to meet the lens and for her to settle and not move her hands and heads. She finally fell into that dreamy in-between sweet spot. It’s that special place where you are almost certain to get some smiles, and she absolutely delivered.
What is better than a smiling newborn? Nothing, that is the answer, nothing.
