This session has been a long time coming. So long in fact that these little sweeties weren’t even technically 2015 newborns. They were born on November 7, 2014. So yeah, let’s do the math real quick…they are almost three months old! These sisters were due to arrive in January, but couldn’t quite make it. They have been fighting the good fight and getting strong and healthy in the NICU for quite a good time. So I was very excited to hear of their homecoming and even more excited to finally meet Olivia and Sophia…I had been emailing back and forth with Mom for weeks. It was so nice to finally see their adorable faces!

We (me and my assistant Kati) worked hard to get these sleepy shots. I am sure you can guess that a three month old is quite different than a baby who’s session is shot at three weeks. Much more easily disturbed and more likely to wake up. Dad commented that while we were posing it was like pulling the pin from a hand grenade. A really cute hand grenade…but yeah, you get the picture.

The girls haven’t yet had a great capture of them together. And being a twin mom myself I know how badly you want…JUST ONE! It is so hard to do at home, I speak from experience. Luckily, I had three hours dedicated to making it happen. And we did it…more than once,even! And even managed to get a family photo. Really patient parents, these two are. I think we worked on that final image for no less than thirty minutes.

So happy that you are all home and together at last! You are a beautiful family and it was so great working with all four of you (you are a family of four! FOUR!)
