When to Book a Newborn Session with Anna Marie Photography
As a Kansas City newborn photographer with over 15 years of experience, I understand the importance of capturing those precious first moments of your baby’s life.
Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 7-21 days of life when babies are still sleepy and flexible.
This allows me to create beautiful, timeless images of your little one without causing any discomfort, with little interruption to the baby’s sleep.
My goal is the capture beautiful images with your baby looking sleepy, curly, and relaxed. And if they wake up, they wake up. If I have a happy and fed baby I can make anything work!
Newborn Safety Certified
Your baby’s safety is my top priority. I am a newborn safety certified photographer, which means that I have
undergone continuing education and online training to ensure that I handle your baby with the utmost care and gentleness.
In addition to this, I am also a mom of four and have extensive experience with handling and caring for all of my own babies. I know just how precious your baby is to you.
I use only the safest posing techniques and equipment available.
You want your photographer to be skilled, experienced, and always mindful of the baby’s safety first and foremost.
Props, Blankets, and Accessories
I have a wide variety of props, blankets, and accessories available at my studio to help me create the most perfect newborn session.
From classic and simple to whimsical and fun, I have something to suit every taste. I also welcome you to bring your own special items to incorporate into the session. My clients fill out a full questionnaire and we chat over email or the phone to coordinate colors and styling of your session.
How to Choose a Newborn Photographer
With so many newborn photographers out there, it can be difficult to know who to choose. Here are a few things to look for:
Experience: Choose a photographer who has many years of experience photographing newborns.
This will ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to capture your baby’s unique features and personality.
Safety: Make sure the photographer is newborn safety certified. This means that they have undergone training to learn how to handle newborns safely and gently.
Style: Look at the photographer’s portfolio to see if their style matches your vision for your newborn session.
Personality: Choose a photographer who you feel comfortable with and who you think will be able to capture the special bond between you and your baby.
