Kansas City Maternity Photography | Outdoor Family Session

We shot this family maternity session in one of my usual favorite spots. However this day we were so limited to where we could walk and what kind of posing we could use due to the massive rain showers earlier that day. We were dealing with standing water and some major mud. Luckily the little ones were good and managed to stay as clean as two kids in a mudslide can be.

I haven’t shot an outdoor maternity for quite awhile, but it’s always fun. I enjoy anything baby so this was, of course, perfect for me. Such an exciting time to capture a family right before they add someone new to their crew. These two kiddos were more than happy to give baby brother kisses and hugs. Once he is here I can only imagine the kind of love he is gonna get!

Thanks for being such good sports and tolerating the mud and puddles so I could get this session in before baby brother makes his arrival! Dad did an amazing job of keeping the little ones entertained, happy and distracted while we knocked out mom’s single poses. Such great teamwork.

Here’s to your new party of five! I wish you all the best as your family grows this month. This baby is truly blessed to be born into such a sweet family!
