Newborn Photography Liberty | Hot Air Balloon Baby

Newborn Photography Liberty | Hot Air Balloon Baby

This sweet little girl was a lot of fun.  Fallon was sleepy, cuddly, and just let me get every single shot I wanted…and then some.  I had some new girly props come i,n and I was excited to use them.  It doesn’t always work out that you have an opportunity to squeeze in everything you want to use.  But this time I did.  I was especially excited about the little floral jumper, angel wings…and of course the hot air balloon.

I have used a hot air balloon in the past.  And this was before you could go to a prop shop and just buy one.  I had to make the stinkin’ thing out of papier mache and a GIANT balloon.  I have never in my life done anything this messy.  My garage floor was a huge mess…glue everywhere.  And these papier mache balloons, well, they don’t last forever, unfortunately.  So when one would collapse, I would have to make another.  And sometimes I wouldn’t know I needed it for a session until days before. Not always time to come up with a huge handmade hot air balloon.

So I was so stoked to get this one, made by Peppy Poppy.  I chose the Neutrally Yours option and just made a pennant banner to match her nursery.

It was perfect for one newborn..love it so much!

Fallon’s nursery has an airplane/aviation theme, so I went with the hot balloon set up and a little pilot’s cap by my girl Bea at Sweet Pea Hats.  I am so happy with how it turned out.  It’s such fun when parents send you nursery pics and color/themes before the session.  The more planning time I have, the better.  I am a busy girl, but I am always happy to stay up late making props for my newborn sessions.

Take a look at this beautiful girl and leave her some love! ?Anna is a newborn photographer who specializes in newborns, babies, and families in the greater Kansas City Area.
